Hemp

There’s no question that hemp is the buzzy wellness product of the moment. Hemp is an annual flowering plant indigenous to Eastern Asia, but as of now is widely distributed due to widespread cultivation.

History

According to archaeological records, cultivation dates back to the end of the first ice age. During the birth of agriculture (10,000-12,000 BC). Due to its strong fibrous material, hemp was one if not the earliest plant cultivated for textile fiber!

Benefits

There are numerous benefits of using Hemp some of which are:

  • pain reduction: chronic, arthritis
  • reduces: migraines 
  • helps with treating lung conditions
  • helps with sleep

Potential risks

Even though hemp has huge benefits there still are risks:

  • can affect how other drugs you are taking work
  • changes in mood: irritability and agitation
